My passions and hobbies:
Personal Development, Spirituality, Entrepreneurial-ship, Meditation, Life, Nature, Books, Travel, and many other topics that are of interest with depth and substance:)
People I like to talk with:
Someone with is patient, kind, gentle, and who sincerely wants to help me learn their language. Also, will be easy going, have a good sense of humour & understands that I am a complete beginner interested in learning and becoming fluent in their language.
I want to focus on learning Korean first and becoming fluent in that language so that when I travel there one day I will be able to understand and have discussions with others in Korean. When that is accomplished I will do the same thing with Spanish and German.
Methods of communication and learning:
I prefer to chat and learn on zoom. I currently have language partners and I find zoom is the best way to connect and learn from each other.
Hello. Hope to find someone to practice English and mandarin with. I'm also interested in the Korean language. I'm not a teacher but I'll try to my best to help. I love to read books, mostly fiction:) watch movies or dramas and hang out with a friend or sometimes alone with a nice cup of coffee, haha. I'm just here for language exchange or making friends. Thanks!

I’m looking for (BALANCED) people who choose to be disciplined, serious (i.e. those that may fall off the wagon but get back in), assertive, tenacious, accepting, patient, empathetic, genuine, communicative, non-assuming, willing to adapt and keep going, and likewise, those that try something at least once but don't conclude that it doesn't work because they don't like it. (There's no such thing as perfect, but there is such a thing as trying.) Life is living, so I want the same for languages. ☺️💚🌱
AND the "method" that I use is actually super simple...like FRICKIN SIMPLE - a 2-year old could do it!

As a language teacher (B.Ed German - major; Japanese, Danish, Hungarian - minor/s) and lover, I often implement as much of more natural "methods" (LANGUAGE ACQUISITION), even with lesson and unit plans, so I avoid anything (grammar, monitoring/correcting, translating) that interferes with the process of ACQUISITION; my goal is fluency ~ cuz why study/learn grammar/vocab/pronunciation/etc when you can absorb/acquire it instead.
English is what I'm fluent (automatic ~ what I acquired) in, but having been raised by fobs, lol, I totally understand and can speak the Tagalog language (albeit rather awkwardly so, I might add) - I still acquired it, though. 🙃
These days, I want to focus on ACQUIRING...
1 - (at least ONE) slavic language (Bulgarian/Czech/Russian/Serbian/Slovak/Slovene/Ukrainian)*
2 - (at least ONE) finno-ugric language (Estonian/Finnish/Hungarian)
3 - Mongolian
4 - Turkish
5 - (at least ONE) celtic language (Breton/Gaelic-Irish/Scottish-Gaelic/Welsh)*
6 - and (at least ONE other) germanic language, preferrably west scandinavian (Dutch/Faroese/Frisian/Icelandic)
...whilst improving on German and Danish. A'D LIKE AW TAE FIND A SPEAKER O THE SCOTS LEID.
7 - Greek is well, just cool. So, yeah, this one, too, if possible.
*celtic and slavic languages are what I want the most, but this also includes Romansh
I'm looking for constant, though not necessarily consistent, exposure to languages...and I'm not one for instant gratification (when it comes to languages) but rather let it just be, soooo....
NO GRAMMAR, NO TRANSLATION, NO CORRECTION
I'm going to let the brain, and body (nature) do what it's supposed to and can do.
P.S. Homophobia, transphobia, bullying, [THAT INCLUDES SUPPRESSION OR OPPRESSION OF ANY KIND] and the like WILL NEITHER BE WELCOMED NOR BE ACCEPTED - PERIOD; no negative, disempowering attitudes. 💩 Personally loathe being given unsolicited (and unwanted) advice - so, ASK FIRST IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND AND NEVER ASSUME, but I’m making efforts to get out of my own way. Dream big. Live. Let’s hope you do as well.
