Hello!
I am a native English speaker living in NYC with my partner, our baby, and our two cats. I love to read literature, write, make art, listen to music, dance, spend time in nature and with my friends and family. I love learning and practicing languages and look forward to speaking with you.
I speak Spanish and Portuguese pretty well but I'm always looking to improve my conversational skills. My French is really limited and my Ewe is nonexistent, but I'm interested in learning.

I've been learning Mandarin for 2 years. My martial arts teacher is from Shanghai and doesn't speak any English. I wish to improve my conversational Mandarin so I can eventually take private lessons from him. He teaches 心意六合.
As for me, I teach for a living so I am very patient when it comes to helping people improve their own language skills. I can mimic tones fairly well but I get flustered speaking in real time with people.

I am a retired former CEO of a human services organization in NYC. I have lived in NYC, Mahattan most of my life. I am planning to live in Madrid part of the year now and recently got my visa for long term stay. Since I plan to live in Spain, I want to learn spanish. I am an active, fit, intelligent guy interested in travel, new cultures, arts, and both outdoors and cities. I enjoy cinema, reading, hiking, anything by the sea. I love being a New Yorker too.
