I am a retired woman living in Boston, Massachusetts in the USA. I seek a native Greek speaker who can help me improve my spoken Greek with informal conversation. I have excellent English skills and am happy to help language partners improve their English.

I am of Greek heritage (my father grew up on Samos; my mother's family was from the Peloponnese, near Tripoli), however I never learned to speak well as a child, so I am studying now with a teacher who lives on Kefalonia. I can read and write.

I also speak German and continue to study with a teacher in Germany. I simply enjoy languages, and I also believe studying a language improves brain health.

I enjoy being outdoors, hiking in the woods, paddling a canoe on a lake, or just walking in a park. I love plants and I am a docent at an Arboretum nearby, where I give tours. My husband and I like to travel and together we recently visited the Puglia region of Italy. I have been to Greece four times, most recently in the summer of 2025, when I visited Kalymnos, Patmos and Rhodes.

I read for pleasure, am interested in current events and volunteer in my community.
