Language.Exchange

I would love to find a person to exchange English and German (Swiss German too). I was an English language teacher for 30 years and have recently retired. I am a Swiss and American citizen.

I am a product of the American west. I was born in Seattle, lived in LA , San Diego, San Francisco and, finally Portland, Oregon, where I and my Swiss wife raised our family.

I have traveled widely and lived for several years abroad, namely Madrid, Spain and Lausanne, Switzerland. I now live near Wil, Switzerland, not far from Zürich.

I am fluent in Spanish and strongly conversational in French. So I'd be jazzed to have a language interchange with someone who can provide opportunities for me to improve my German. I have recently moved to Switzerland and will be staying for a good long while.

I love to talk about just about anything. And I love learning languages. So I think we could have some fun conversation, being able to help each overcome our language "gaps".

My hobbies are playing and singing with the guitar, bikiing, hiking and exercise. It is also fun for me to fix up and remodel the homes I have lived in. I like to cook fun meals and spend time with friends and family,
