I am a PhD student studying ecology and living in Spain. I was a teacher for many years at a bilingual school in Taiwan and am fluent in English and Chinese. I also spent time living in Guatemala, but my Spanish needs practice after many years in Taiwan.
I love outdoor activities, especially hiking. I also practice yoga and appreciate a good cup of tea. I studied anthropology and psychology, and I really enjoy deep conversations. I also like photography, comedy shows, and baking.

My name is Misa, a seventeen-year-old from Palestine 🇵🇸. I’ve always been fascinated by the way stories and languages intertwine — how words can build worlds and connect hearts across oceans. As a manhwa editor, I spend much of my time shaping tales that allow others to escape reality, if only for a moment. There’s something magical about that process — giving color and rhythm to emotions that can’t always be spoken aloud.
Languages are one of my greatest passions. I’m currently learning Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, each carrying its own melody, history, and soul. Through them, I’ve discovered not just new words, but entirely new ways of thinking, feeling, and understanding people.
Beyond my love for words, I find peace in drawing, editing, and cooking — simple yet profound acts that let me create something with my own hands. Whether it’s sketching a quiet thought or preparing a small meal, these moments remind me of who I am and what I love.
I believe that every story, every language, and every experience we touch leaves a mark — shaping us into the person we’re meant to become. I’m still learning, still growing, and still dreaming.
With warmth, Misa 🍰

Hey peeps. I used to live in the States and in Korea during my school years. And because of it I'm a decent speaker in English and Korean. But I would love to learn Japanese cause I'd like to work and live there for a couple of years in the future. Hit me up if you're interested in learning either languages and in return it'd be nice to learn some Japanese from you as well. Cheers

Hello all, I've tried a few different languages and have landed on 日本語 as it gives me join to learn.
I've been studying kanji and grammar for a few months now so I'm relatively committed to learning more Japanese!
I'm here to practice speaking - my Japanese is nowhere near proficient enough to converse in, however I would appreciate it if you could listen to me read sentences and short stories and correct me/help me through the process.
I'm more than happy to reciprocate the help back to you :)
Kanji is really fun to learn and read, but I haven't started writing practice... Maybe once I finish my degree I will, but until then, Japanese is just a hobby! I tend to spend ~2 hours a day on Japanese (between Kanji, Grammar, reading, and listening practice).
Outside of Japanese, I like learning (in general), weightlifting, gaming, and Math (university major).
I am from Florida so we can talk about American politics, religion, and culture if that interests you. I also have epilepsy and a bit of hermit (I enjoy my solitude), so I have a lot of free time being at home so often :).
