Hi! My name is Nina. I'm 19 years old. I'm studying architecture in Belgrade. I'm from Serbia, so Serbian was in my installation package. I learned English since I was around five, and have official C2 level proficiency. I understand German well, but I have trouble with grammar when speaking. I started learning Chinese a few months ago. I finished two Chinese courses at 孔子学院, and will continue to attend them. I like to travel, last summer I solo backpacked Europe for a month. I have a lot of interests, so anything from cooking, to movies, books, research, history is interesting to me.

Hello I’m Anna. I’m 20 and from the USA. I speak English natively and I’m currently learning Spanish and Korean. I’d consider myself a beginner at Korean and almost intermediate in Spanish. I’m happy to talk to anyone and make new friends. I’d love to find some language exchange partners who speak Korean and Spanish that are learning English. Also I love music so don’t be afraid to ask for English song suggestions.

Hi, my name is Kris. I teach history at a university in the US. I am married with two kids, and I enjoy running, sports, reading, travel, and a nice cup of something hot to drink while I am working. :) I'm looking for someone to chat with once or twice a week. It could be in the mornings or evenings. I am in the same time zone as New York, so we'd have to arrange the time. I used to live in Taiwan and in Hong Kong, for about 6 years, from 2006 to 2012, and have spent about a year in Taiwan in the last few years. And I've spent a lot of time on the mainland as well. If you want to study English and are serious about LE, send me a message!

Hi, everyone. I'm a 3D General Artist from Shanghai, China, and I wish to improve my English language skills. My objective is to learn standard English that will help me work in an English-speaking country, like the UK, America or Canada. My first language is Chinese, and my English level might be around A2. As a result, I’m afraid my English fluency is not great. So, I would love for you to be patient with me as we practice and exercise our language skills together to improve communication. My short-term goal is to pass the IELTS Life Skills test in January. So, I think we need a plan. Let me share my idea with you. First, we all need a main course (you need to find it yourself). Each topic should include some dialogues, grammar, chunks, and vocabulary that can help us learn and practice our language skills. Second, we might meet two or three times a week. Before that, you’ll need to practice and try to remember what you’ve learned. Then, each of us will have 45 minutes to practice using the language we want, and after that, we will switch. I think we should leave 15 minutes at the end to review everything we've learned. My suggestion is to try explaining to me in the target language what you've learned, or in your native language, imagining I’m a student. So, I think the total time should be 1 hour and 30 minutes. Based on our meeting time, I believe finishing the meeting on time is important. Let's remind ourselves not to prepare too much material and to remember to review so we can master what we learn. Although it's important to correct mistakes, it's impossible to do it every time. Let's just do our best. Third, we need to send the material to each other via email before our meeting and schedule an appointment. Overall, I don’t mind if you repeat the same topic again and again, as long as you're learning something valuable. Let me repeat the process: prepare the material → schedule an appointment earlier, two or three times a week → we practice for 45 minutes and review for 15 minutes → then find a chance to repeat the topic. Oh, I almost forgot about a social media app. Google Meet is good; it can display subtitles, and the time limit for a meeting is 24 hours. You don't need to install any software. If you don't mind, we can use it. Do you have any other suggestions? If we're cool with this, let's start. I'm waiting for you.
